Throughout his life,he has nurtured a passion for western art. Formal training began in elementary school and continued through college. “Chula Vista Academy of Fine Arts”in Corpus Christi started ths “fire” inside him to create fine works of western art.
In addition to his artisitic pursuits, Anthony is a decorated combat vet who served in OPERATION DESERT STORM with the 3rd infantry division. While serving in Germany, he rode bucking horses in the E.R.C.A.(European Rodeo Cowboy Association).
AMERICAN BUCKING BULL INC. has featured Anthony’s work in their publication. THE BUCKING STOCK CONNECTION (Marcia Bennett) has worked the past 5 years with him; donating one peice of artwork to the patrons through a drawing. “THE CHRISTMAS DRAWING DRAWING” is held every year in December.
Anthony has exhibited his work with the P.R.C.A.A.(Professional Rodeo Cowboys Artist Association) during CHEYENNE FRONTIER DAYS in 2001. WESTERN HARVEST MINISTRIES (founded by 1997 P.R.C.A. WORLD CHAMPION BULLRIDER, Scott Mendes) has named him official artist of the ministry. BONSALL BUCKING BULLS has also worked with him by featuring his work on thier “OPEN RANGE GALLERY”. The Corpus Christi art center also exhibits Anthony’s work,and he is a life member.
Anthony has lived out the images he portrays throughout his life. Anthony became a jockey at a young age and rode his first winner at age 14. In addition, he continued bullriding and bronc riding, as well as cowboying and colt starting. In 2007,he was critically injured when a mare fell on him which literally broke him in half.
