This is the 18th Annual Heber Valley Cowboy Poetry Gathering and Buckaroo Fair that will run from October 31st thru November 4th, 2012 – Heber City, Utah.  This event has grown throughout the years to draw over 20,000 attendees each year. It is one of the largest Cowboy Poetry Gatherings in the country. The Western way of life lives on, and it remains the backbone of our Heber City Gathering. Sit back, relax, and enjoy the shows. From seasoned buckaroo to first-time attendees, there’s something for everyone.

Event Overview

Art Gallery

The Western Art Rodeo Association Western Art Gallery will be displayed in the library of Wasatch High School. Inside you will find some of the finest Western Art anywhere including Sculpture, Carving, Oil Painting, Water Color, Pencil Drawings, Charcoal, Acrylic, Photography, and even silver and leather arts.  Most of the artwork will be FOR SALE!   This is a great event to find and purchase unique, fine western art.

The gallery will be open and free to the public (with general admission)on November 1 -3.  In addition to tons of entertainment offered at this event, there will also be other art related events including art demonstrations in the library.

There will be a stage set up in the Library of Wasatch High School. This is where the  art rodeo competitions will be held. There will be 2 preliminary go rounds on Friday, November 2nd and 1 Final Go Round on Saturday, November 3rd.

 This highest scoring artists of the first 2 rounds will advance to the Final (Championship) round where they will display their finest works of art to the audience and judges.  The winning artists will receive prize money, therefore, you will see some of their best artwork and experience it in a fun, exciting way that you’ve never seen before.

You don’t want to miss this as the artwork is brought in front of 3 judges and a live audience and scored right before your eyes.

The Art Rodeo Announcer will keep the event lively and entertaining as the artwork is presented to the judges and audience. The audience will get to hear from each artist as their artwork is being judged.

Artists will be competing for prize money, status recognition and points towards the next WARA World Champion Artists.
