The Western Art Rodeo Association is pleased to bring you an update on one of our members, Artist Cheryl A. Harley-Volz.
We had the opportunity to spend some time with Cheryl at the “Heart of Montana” Art Show and Sale in Billings, MT. where we learned about the progress Cheryl has been making in bringing her wonderful Western Art to the world.
The W.A.R.A. is proud to be able to share some recent accomplishments by this fine artist (and great person).
The Hall of Fame is a beautiful facility with amazing displays, artifax, and memorabilia. Cheryl was pleased to have three pencil drawings on display.
In her own words:
“I am thrilled to have been invited to create the cover art and event illustrations for the 2013 Program for the Grand National at the Cow Palace in San Fransisco, Calif. I have ideas that will be both challenge and excite me. I included the most recent drawing I’ve created and intend to do something similar using an image from the new 2013 All Around Cowboy. I used alcohol inks for the metalic buckle and am so pleased that my printer, Megapixel of Montrose, Colo., was able to reproduce the metalic effect and still maintain the integrity of the graphite shadows.
I am also pleased to announce that I am now represented at the Fawn Creek Gallery, Meeker, Colorado. I joined them in Mid-June of this summer.”
