Description
Native American Sculpture in Bronze by Jeff Wolf
The first cold winds bring the onset of winter to the plains. Thankful for her man who has proven himself as a great hunter, warrior, provider and protector, this maiden snuggles close anticipating the warmth his strong embrace. The glint of admiration and appreciation shows obvious in her impenetrable eyes and evident countenance while her posture begs for the warmth and comfort of the robe. With Pride of his strong beautiful wife, he gently shelters her from the cold with their best bull buffalo robe as they step out of their lodge to visit with family and friends of their village. As a sculptor / storyteller, my greatest interest when depicting the early Native Americans is their everyday life. “The Edge of Winter” depicts a timeless scene of caring and affection between two people who share the indestructible love and admiration for one another.
